1913-E-124-St-HARLEM-NYC-New-York-City-SUBWAY-Photo-Horse-Drawn-road-1024x768A horse drawn carriage, work men and construction at East 124th Street in East Harlem, New York, on June 26th, 1913. The photograph is a crystal ball into the turn of the century as the horse carriage is static, broken down on the tree lined street as two men on each side bend over to fix the carriage. All this is construction of the new subway (4, 5, and 6) trains that replace the horse carriages twenty to thirty years later sit in the background.
