There are many different ways to participate — you can blog, you can contribute to our new journalism opportunities, you can attend events, or, if you’re an expert in a particular subject area, you can make yourself available to our HW editors and/or contributors for interviews.

There are many different ways to participate — blogging, reporting from your area, or conducting interviews and research for our journalism projects. It’s important that you tell us where you’re located (Morningside, Washington Heights, Inwood, Little Africa, Spanish Harlem, Central Harlem, West Harlem, Harlem Heights, Central Harlem, etc.,) so that we can notify you of state and local journalism opportunities.
All stories will be fact-checked, read by our proofreaders and editors for excellence in this project. This gives an incentive to those that might not want to go through the usual journalism channels.
