Casting Call: NBC seeks outgoing, fun-loving families to participate in its new series The Great American Road Trip. Families of all kinds with at least two children aged 10-16 years and available around early May to late June 2009 are encouraged to apply. Family type examples include: Clean Fanatic Family, Slob Family, Cheap Family, All-American Family, Hippie Family, Rancher Family, City Slicker Family, Musical Family and Animal Family to any other fun family type. The Amazing Race did this scenario a few seasons ago. It was odd because the last name of the family was Black and they were African American. It was strange to hear the other contestants (Caucasian) when they say the Black family is winning this leg of the race.
