When sophistication was the order of the day!
On Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 8:00pm & 9:30pm, Londel’s Super Club features an evening with Levern the Entertainer. Levern Williams, a versatile performing artist/Jazz stylist; has been compared to Nat King Cole by critics; “Levern flaunts a unique, exuberant style that is undoubtedly his own”, they added.
Levern’s performance repertoire includes: film (Cotton Club, Times Square, and The Wiz); Broadway (Tremonisha -Scott Joplin, Selma and Camoflague); and has toured internationally with stops in Western Africa (inter- continental Hotels); Paris, France (Inter-continental Hotels); South America, México, Panamá and Brazil.
Come with him as he revisits the era when sophistication was the order of the day, the Cotton Club was the place to go and Jazz/swing was the music of the time. His repertoire will give tribute to the balladeers of Jazz (Nat King Cole, Johnny Hartman, George Benson, and Lou brawls)
Reservations for the evening are required and the costs are a music charge of $10.00 pp + $20.00 minimum per table.
