Aside from the countless pieces of creative trinkets, there were many garments on hand to
spice up your daily ensemble. A vender with Amethyst Topaz attire caught the eye of many spectators with their ingenious use of a live model. Entrancing jazz music flowed throughout the streets, as a graceful model with curly, low-cut hair, began to sway throughout the crowd in her Amethyst Topaz dress to lure customers.
Some attendees came just to show off their duds. A along the outskirts of the festival sporting a not-so-typical get-up with different color combinations and funky flair which turned quite a few heads.
Many attendees failed to leave the memorial weekend festival with an empty stomach.
The unmistakable scent of homemade blueberry and pecan pie filled the air as scores of onlookers decided on which platters to indulge in. For those in attendance with a craving for good ole’ southern food, trays filled with tender slices of deep-fried chicken and fish. Buyers also had the option of adding a cool drink of home-made lemonade to their tabs.
For those who may have missed out on this event, be sure to pencil in your calendars, the Annual African Arts Festival.
