Update: Double Life May have Led To Murder

speakerAs police continue to investigate the murder of a motivational speaker from Long Island found tied up and stabbed inside his Dodge Magnum discovered in East Harlem Thursday, two sides of Jeff Locker’s life continue to emerge. The Post is now reporting that police believe a girlfriend of Locker’s is behind the killing, that she and two friends are the ones who tied him up and tortured him in order to get his ATM pin code out of him. Harry Potter, one of the most successful film franchises in history returns for the sixth time.  This edition, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, finds the young wizard’s world under attack and not even their sanctuary, Hogwarts, is safe.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) is set on finding the source of this new threat, while Headmaster Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) wants him to prepare for the final battle.

sidAt 90, Bernstein used to be, and still is, a number of other things: a music promoter, a family man, an author, and — most notably — the impresario who brought the Beatles to America and organized their landmark Shea Stadium concert in 1965.

Long retired from show business, and semi-confined to his 19th-floor Upper East Side apartment with troublesome leg ailments, Bernstein has found a new vocation: nourishing his house plants with baked goods.

A potted plant next to his living room table bears the remnants of snacks past. Bits of éclair hang from the leaves, discarded embers of pastry suspended above a graveyard of napoleons, bagels, and various unidentifiables. Continue reading
