Labor Day weekend saw much partying going on in Brooklyn.  But there was much partying going on in Manhattan too.  At the upscale restaurant/lounge Pranna,  Black Light Entertainment, The League and sponsor Ty-Ku came together to celebrate the launch of apparel line Global Recess “Fashion for Humanity.”

Model Emarie Wiltz of reality TV show Project Runway and Models of the Runway is the powerhouse behind Global Recess.  Due to things she saw during her international travels, Emarie was compelled to find a way to help improve some bad situations: HUMAN TRAFFICKING, MILITARY USE OF CHILDREN and POVERTY

The line consists of T-shirts for men and for women the Face the Facts Racerback Tank, Feed Fitted Tee, Face the Facts Cropped Tee, Two Toned Fire Dress, Face the Facts Cami, Silhouette Burnout Tee, and See the Truth Tank.  Proceeds of your purchase, goes to help an organization working to combat these serious issues.  So you can look good and do good, by purchasing a Global Recess product.

Pranna was packed inside and there was a huge line outside trying to get in.  DJ Moma and DJ L from BET’s Network’s 106 and Park were on the 1s and 2s providing the hot tunes for a hot party!

  1. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate BlackLight and the League for their acknowledgement of all the hard work it took to pull off Labor Day Sunday at Pranna.

But, GRAE Enterprises was also an equal partner/event planner for this event. (As shown by the “G” crest on the step and repeat).

Many Thank You’s to HarlemWorldBlog for featuring this event in your blog.

GRAE will be having our 7th Annual Masquerade Ball at Bryant Park on Oct 31st. It will be a huge affair, we’d be more than thrilled if HarlemWorld Blog would be able to offer some media coverage for this event.

  2. Another event from TY KU that I wish I could have gone to! This looks like a great time.
