Wow, the Michelle Obama appears on the cover of the December issue of Glamour. She’s the first First Lady to do so. Editor Cindi Leive writes that the magazine put her on the cover not because she’s a style icon, but because she’s passionate about children and mentoring and empowering young women. Michelle poses inside the magazine with seven White House interns, holding hands with the two luckiest ones. Leive can’t help but gush about how fabulous going to the White House to shoot the First Lady was.
It probably goes without saying that visiting the White House to photograph the First Lady rocks, but come on: visiting the White House to photograph the First Lady rocks … [O]ur team photographed her in the magnificent Diplomatic Room, and to see her striding confidently through those halls, joking with the crew about First Dog Bo’s upcoming birthday and warmly greeting every one of her group of interns, was a thrill.
