This March 26 and 27th the Romare Bearden Foundation brings the 2010 Bearden Symposium to Pittsburgh, PA where Bearden spent some time and found inspiration for many of his important collage works. This symposium brings together scholars and artist from all over the country to discuss and discover new aspects of Bearden’s artistic legacy. A favorite Bearden masterpiece, The Block, is on view to the public through Spring 2010 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC.
