Fashion
The most crowded catwalk in city history is coming this September.
Fashion’s Night Out will stage New York’s largest fashion show ever, with more than 200 top models strutting and sporting the most wanted clothes of the season. The Sept. 7 event is set for Lincoln Center, with 1,500 fortunate guests catching a first glimpse of the fashions selected by editors at Vogue magazine.
“We felt it is important for people to see what wonderful fashion will be in stores at that moment,” said Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The show’s location reflects this year’s move of Manhattan’s Fashion Week to Lincoln Center.
Tickets will go on sale this summer, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The New York City AIDS fund.
The show is a collaboration between Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the city of New York.
The show will be part of a one-hour CBS television special airing Sept. 15.
Fashion’s Night Out launched last year to promote the industry and boost sales around the city. This year’s actual FNO is Sept. 10.
