The Nourishing Kitchen of New York City, in conjunction with Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, and Go Green East Harlem! present Earth Day in East Harlem.
We had many organizations come and inform the community about how to be healthy and green. In attendance was New York State Assemblyman Adam Clayton Powell IV, Borough President Scott Stringer, U.S. Representative Charles Rangel, and New York City Comptroller John Liu, IMPACT Diabetes, Transportation Alternatives, GeatHealthyHarlem.org, RecycleNYC, and Asit Parikh from MetrogroupNYC to answer questions people had about going green.
We had food demonstrations by award winning Chef Gina Puzzanghera and gardening demonstrations by Ari Briski and Scott Keatley.
