Terrence Howard is coming back to the big screen in full effect. He’s set to play Nelson Mandela. The producers of a Winnie Mandela biopic are vowing to ignore legal threats from the former wife of South African President Nelson Mandela. Oscarwinners Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard will play the Mandelas in the decades-spanning drama. Producer Andre Pieterse — having received a letter from Winnie’s lawyers — said the “well-researched” screenplay would be made “without any influence from any of the main characters.” The $15 million drama begins shooting later this month in Cape Town. “I felt as though her story was never told, and it’s worth being told,” said Hudson.
