Harlem Crazy Stabs 3

Crime

An active police search was underway in Harlem.  Police said three people were stabbed, at random. Two of the victims, ages 26 and 48, were attacked at Lexington Avenue and 125th Street and rushed to Harlem Hospital.

Another was stabbed several blocks away, on East 120th Street and Fifth Avenue.
Police said the suspect ran south five blocks and then attacked a third man, a 27-year-old stabbed once in the back and sustained serious injuries. Police said the male suspect may have fled into Marcus Garvey Park.

By this time, there had been several calls to 9-1-1. Police chased the suspect into Marcus Garvey Park.

Scores of police officers, some with their canine units, searched the park. It’s a hilly three-block-long and two-block-wide park with lots of hidden areas which police appeared to scour for hours, perhaps in search of the knife after realizing the suspect had probably fled.
