S.T.A.Y. Here in Harlem

Lifestyles

As Interns of Harlem World, we are given an opportunity to meet with some fabulous people and organizations, who are helping to bring positive change and hope to many people who live in our Harlem Community with HIV/AIDS.  Today, we met John A. Nelson, CPNP, PhD, Project STAY Nurse Practitioner, who is responsible for providing clinical care to HIV+ and HIV at-risk adolescents and young adults, community-based outreach, research, and program growth and development.  For those who may not know about S.T.A.Y, it stands for Services To Assist Youth and they have two locations, 1. Harlem 215 W.125th Street on the 1st Floor and the other location is 2. 21 Audubon Avenue, 1st Floor…. Both centers provide confidential Medical and Counseling Services, Family and Relationship Therapy as well as help with Housing, Benefits, School and Employment.  What is really great about this clinic is that they offer free care for anyone who doesn’t have health Insurance.  They are open Tuesdays 3pm to 6pm and Fridays 9:30am to 4pm.  Get Tested, Get Help, start NOW, Remember you are not alone…
