King and Queen honored at the Apollo

Entertainment

The Apollo theater; Harlem, recently honored two of musics greatest, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin.  These two pioneers and international icons, were honored and recognized for their hard work and steadfast love to the art of music with a bronze plate plaque fixed eternally at the entrance leading into the Apollo.  The King of Pop, Michael Jackson who sadly died June 25th, 2009 was the inspiration to many established mega superstars like Usher and still is the inspiration to many other artists, dancers, actors and humanitarians from Chris Brown to Alicia Keys.  Fellow Apollo Walk of Fame inductee Miss Aretha Franklin was once referred to as the Dynamite Diva of the music industry, but as she rapidly toped and dominated the charts, tv and radio, she became the Queen of Soul, a title she has earned and deserves.  Aretha Franklin will continue to be respected and Michael will forever be remembered by everyone, we love you and know your fans and family love you too.  We have posted the pictures of each Walk of Fame plaque, but if you would like to see it for yourself, come on down to 253 West 125th Street, New York right here in Harlem.
