Applebee’s Salute HARLEM WEEK 2010

The highly anticipated Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar opened on 125th St. at Fifth Avenue in December of  2009.  Applebee’s has  been well received as a comfortable, reasonably priced family dining restaurant,  and  they have worked very hard to connect with the Upper Manhattan communities which they serve.

Prior to opening its new site  Applebee’s worked closely with The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce and other community based organizations to recruit and hire approximately two hundred residents from the upper Manhattan area to work at the West 125th Street location (in full time and part time positions).

Because service to the community is very important to Applebee’s, we are pleased to inform you that in August, Applebee’s will continue their third year of major partnership with HARLEM WEEK.

Our Chamber recognizes that there are many worthy groups in our communities who deserve and need support. We have therefore asked Applebee’s to introduce you to a very special neighborhood program called “Dining to Donate.”  This initiative creates an ongoing partnership with community based organizations, congregations and groups which allows for Applebee’s to give back to the community.  With this program ten percent of all proceeds from “Dining to Donate” events are contributed to the partner organization (s) for their use.  Your organization will very much enjoy the help you will receive through the simple act of dining at Applebee’s on special event days; your organization will reap rewards in the form of donations.

The program is definitely a win-win for all involved.
