Harlem is the entertainment Mecca in the United States and the world. We thought it would be interesting to see exactly how many people we could find that are ”famous” people born in Harlem.
Here’s our list (the names are in alphabetical order based on the first initial of the first name):
Bre
Kool Moe Dee
Moby (aka Richard Melville Hall)
Piri Thomas (Juan Pedro Thomas)
Here’s a new link from Wiki.org with their list of people from Harlem.

Richard,
We stand corrected. How did you feel about the rest of the piece?

Yes, there is one whose name, although mentioned elsewhere in Harlem World, did not get noticed in above column of ‘celebrities born in harlem.’ And that is CULLEN DORN, born and raised in Harlem, who went on to gain worldwide recognition as a three-time award winning author, “The Hierophant Of 100th Street.” The book is currently making its round at the film colony in Hollywood for possible filming.
The Author of Gingersnaps: a novel was raised in Harlem! Now lives and works in France.
