In Short – Popeye’s Lousiana Kitchen’s Cajun-style fast food restaurant first opened in New Orleans in 1972 and has since achieved domestic and international fame for its flavorful mild and spicy chicken. In addition to the storied buttermilk biscuits (hmmm), seafood menu items range from fried popcorn shrimp and shrimp snack “Craver Paks” to chicken sausage jambalaya, catfish baskets and shrimp etouffee.
