‘The Jazz Social’ At Whole Foods In Harlem

Join Whole Foods Market and HarlemSocial.com for “The Jazz Social.”
This unique experience will merge the world of jazz music with social
media. Attendees, in-person and online, will be able to enjoy the
smooth sounds of jazz music in historic Harlem and then hear from
great voices in the industry, past and present, and learn how they are
using social media to sustain their careers and the history of music.
Whole Foods Market strongly supports the preservation and
sustainability of jazz music, the culture of Harlem, and supports
local area musicians. Whole Foods Market located on 97th and Columbus
was formerly the location of Mikell’s Jazz Club where legends such as
Tony Morrison, Amiri Baraka and Maya Angelou often visited and a
teenage Whitney Houston did her first solo performance.

    This should be a very interesting event, but it’s not in Harlem. 97th St. and Columbus Ave. is the upper West Side. So far as I know, Harlem is generally considered to be above 110th St.

  2. Umm… 97th street is hardly Harlem. They had me all excited…lol SMH They would need to know what the perimeters are before they start telling falsehoods. Its close but not Harlem by about 13 blocks and two avenues.
