On Monday April 4th, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc., owners of the Pathmark is launching “Senior Appreciation Mondays,” a new special discount program for seniors in all Pathmark stores. Through the program, every Monday customers over the age of 55 will be able to save five percent on their grocery purchases of more than $30, excluding pharmacy items, milk, tobacco products, beer, wine and spirits.
“Senior Appreciation Mondays” at Pathmark is modeled after a similar program currently available to Waldbaum’s shoppers age 55 and older.
John Moritz, Senior Vice President of Marketing at A&P, said: “Our Senior Appreciation Days are a great benefit for many of our most loyal A&P, Waldbaum’s, Pathmark, Food Emporium and Superfresh customers. We are pleased to offer extra savings on groceries to senior shoppers, on top of the opportunity to enjoy a better shopping experience during the week. Customer loyalty programs like these reflect our commitment to turning around our Company, in part by enhancing value for our customers as we continue to improve their shopping experience in our stores.”
