On April 12th, the Naomi Cohain Foundation will hand deliver a limited edition art cart filled with supplies to the patients of Harlem Hospital Center. The special delivery is part of ArtWork’s Surprise! Supplies program, which provides art supplies for children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The goal of Surprise! Supplies is for the children, and their siblings who accompany them, to have their own kit of crafts to keep them busy creating while anticipating a long day in treatment, enduring an extended stay in the hospital or accompanying a sibling to a procedure. In addition to the assortment of art supplies and craft kits, ArtWorks will provide a custom designed limited edition mobile Art Cart designed by Brooklyn based Pop Artist Ed Heck, to store and transport these materials with ease. An ArtWorks bulletin board will also be placed within the outpatient clinic. ArtWorks bulletin boards placed within the pediatric units are filled with artwork, brightening the halls of the hospital and providing children with an avenue to feel proud about their creation.
Great work, ArtWorks!
