Nice vibe from Mr. Cheeks , featuring the super sound of Maya Azucena on his new “Havin Fun” cut. Maya is the same diva who performed at the Harlem World Magazine sponsored Harlem CARES Bridge to Mentor Power for an Evening of Grace and Thanksgiving event to promote the importance of mentoring at risk teens at the National Black Theatre last year.
The event was an evening of musical performances with a dynamic performance by Ms. Azcuena and the Mount Pleasant Community Church Choir of “Junk Yard Jewel,” In addition, Malik Yoba, Harlem native, Susan L. Taylor, founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement and Editor-in-Chief Demetrius of Essence Magazine, and many others were in attendance.
