The Museum Mile Starts At El Museo del Barrio El Cafe In Harlem (update)

Each year, nine of the country’s best museums, all that call Fifth Avenue home, doors open from 6pm – 9pm for free to Harlemites and visitors for the Museum Mile,  a mile-long block party and visual art celebration, starting at the Museum of African Art and the hot ticket is at El Museo del Barrio El Cafe the stylish restaurant with fantastic outdoor seating right across the street from Central Park’s Conservatory Garden. It’s a great spot to begin the night, especially since, they’re going to be featuring a margarita station in Harlem. This traffic-free, music- and art-filled celebration fills the path officially designated as Museum Mile. Plus, follow the mile with street muralist De La Vega – grab a piece of chalk and make your mark!
