Last week the hottest ticket in town was the sold out Wiz Khalifa (above) show at Central Park’s Summer Stage, July 25th. After days of 3 digit heat and non stop rain Monday afternoon, the temperature dropped and the rain subsided right around show time.

Since the show actually started a little bit early, the crowd was still entering the venue when Chevy Woods opened up.
Before Wiz Khalifa ended the show, Big Sean touched the stage with a set that included songs from his recent release Finally Famous. In the middle of the set, Sean talked about how much his family means to him and the role his grandmother has played in his life. Big Sean’s song My Last, had everyone singing.
Not too long after My Last, it was time for the main event. Wiz Kahlifa, sportin’ a Run DMC hat, hit the stage around 8:30 to the delight of the New York crowd. Amber Rose (see second photo), one of Wiz Kahlifa’s biggest supporters, found a spot on the side of the stage to enjoy the set. Kahlifa put on a good show at Summer Stage performing hits from his Rollin Papers release. Two of the biggest songs of the night were the heavy radio rotation Roll Up and the classic anthem Black and Yellow. You could hear people screaming the hook outside the venue!
It was definitely a night about being young, having fun and pursuing your passion.
