Celebrate the Opening of the 103RD Street Community Garden, 105 East 103RD Street in East Harlem, between Park and Lexington Avenues. One block from the 103rd Street Subway stop (trains: 4, 6, 6-Express).
NYRP and Disney announce the opening of the 103rd Street Community Garden as a playground and healthy food resource for local residents.
The garden was designed and built with help from Disney employee volunteers and representatives from NYRP. The garden features a playground for local children, as well as vegetable beds for community members to grow fresh vegetables.
The 103rd Street Community Garden is one of the many facets of Disney’s Magic of Healthy Living, a multimedia initiative designed to partner with parents in their quest to raise healthy, happy kids by reinforcing their work and inspiring kids to make healthy lifestyles fun!
