From Harlem Resident at Everyblock
A mom on Harlem4Kids reported a shooting in Morningside Park. Does anyone else have info on this? Here is what she reported.
“There was a gang of kids involved in firing shoots at the 123rd/Morningside playground this evening around 5:45pm. My mother-in-law(a bullet grazed her wrist) and my two children were walking home from school when a mother, with her baby in her arms, ran out of the playground yelling to get down and my mother in law, thankfully ran to the other side of the street and called the police. She said they were there in seconds, i can only believe someone else at the Parks Dept. office at 123rd called prior to her calling.
They were able to apprehend several of the boys, a number of them took off on foot running down toward 116th street and apparently/reportedly dropped a gun on 117th street between Morningside and Manhattan. “

when we have such rich as well up standing of pride in the city of Harlem’s history…
Tell that to the parents of these kids who let them hang out til all hours of the day and night (whether it be a school day or not). Smdh
