New Yorkers Say, “Living Wage Jobs Now!”
In this season of giving thanks, hundreds of thousands of fellow New Yorkers cannot afford a holiday meal because they are not making a living wage. You can do something about this.
Join us on Monday, November 21st at 6:30 pm, at The Riverside Church in Manhattan for “Many Voices One Goal, A Gathering for Living Wages.” Add your voice to those who are calling on the New York City Council to pass the Fair Wages for New Yorkers Act. This legislation will lift up everyone by requiring developers that received public subsidies to pay their employees a living wage of $10 an hour with benefits, $11.50 without. Join us November 21st for an evening of testimony, prayer and song as we tell our elected officials that our tax dollars should create good jobs, not keep people in poverty.
Monday, November 21st, 6:30 pm
The Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive between 120th and 122nd Streets in Manhattan.
