Be one of the first to know about the MBPO Green Your Block Program, designed to enhance your neighborhood through the installation of tree guards on your block in Harlem!
We hope this program will provide Harlem residents with greater access to resources that will advance our communities and enliven neighborhoods. The Bororugh President as partnered with the Department of Parks and Recreation to increase the funding available for local groups to green their neighborhoods through tree guard installation and tree stewardship.
The deadline for these requests is January 27th, 2012.
This year they have a limited amount of funding available for the installation of tree guards that will be installed on a block-wide basis. We encourage all of Harlem’s Block Associations, civic and community groups to submit applications and to utilize this opportunity to build stronger and greener communities.
