Paris Blues Revisited: Romare Bearden, Albert Murray, Sam Shaw
A panel of experts will explore the three collaborators’ motives for working together on the book-on-the-wall exhibition entitled Paris Blues Revisited: Romare Bearden, Albert Murray, Sam Shaw. Moderated by Bearden’s niece and the co-director of the Harlem based Romare Bearden Foundation, DiedraHarris-Kelley, the panel features Shaw’s daughter and part owner of The Shaw Family Archives, Edie Shaw Marcus, writer and contributor to the recent Albert Murray book, Paul Devlin, and Robert O’Meally, Professor of Literature at Columbia University and co-curator of Paris Blues Revisited.
Paris Blues Revisited is curated by Robert G. O’Meally, C. Daniel Dawson and Diedra Harris Kelley, and designed by Florio Design.
The exhibit has been extended on view through February 28, 2012.
