At the Senate Transportation Committee confirmation hearing for MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota held earlier this month, Senator Bill Perkins brought up the issue of Rat Attack regarding the rat infestation in the Harlem subways.
During his statement, Senator Perkins discussed WE ACT’s work with TWU Local 100 at the 181st Street Station on the #1 train, which put a spotlight on the rat problems at our Harlem subway stations.
After listening to Senator Perkins, Chairman Lhota promised to “help help e-Rat-icate” the problem of rat infestation in the Harlem subway system during his tenure.
