It’s amazing what [a few years] of change makes in the Harlem hood. Here’s a photo of where Manna’s food spot (before Manna’s was here a furniture store called JL Roberts was there) on 125th Street and Madison Avenue in Harlem from January 2009 and here’s the same spot from early this January, 2012.

That is called progress !
This is 125th and Madison, not 5th.
Before Manna’s was here a furniture store called JL Roberts was there for a really long time. Manna’s isn’t really that old. It’s run by a Korean woman who lives in New Jersey.
What’s your point?
It’s about the evolution of a neighborhood or as Natoe states “…is called progress!”
Thank you,
HW
Yes to those who properly placed the spot on Madison and not 5th. I remember the furniture store very well. The owners of Manna also had restaurants on West 125th St and on Lenox Ave. near 132St. I don’t know if they’re still in operation because I’m no longer in NYC but before we rush to judgment, let’s see what goes up in that space, who owns it, and what they intend to do for the community. The owners of Manna take their money back to NJ!
Thank you,
HW
