Harlem girl Alicia Keys pay homage to the six-time Grammy winner Whitney Houston during the pre -Grammy Gala tribute with Clive Davis and others.
Whitney Houston passed last night at age 48 after a long fight with drug abuse. She was pronounced dead at 3:55 pm.
The video above is from a 2009 GMA and Keys segment honoring Ms. Houston.
While there have been no immediate words of funeral plans, Houston’s childhood church, the New Hope Baptist Church in her native Newark, N.J., held a special prayer service Sunday morning in memory of Houston and offering support to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and mother, Cissy who has performed many times in Harlem.
