Join Jamal Joseph, Afeni Shakur and Dorian Warren for an evening in celebration of the release of the autobiography, Panther Baby, (Algonquin) by Jamal Joseph.A conversation follows with Jamal Joseph, Afeni Shakur, author, political activist, member of the Black Panther Party and mother of noted Hip Hop artist Tupac Shakur, and Columbia University political science/public affairs professor Dorian Warren.
Harlem’s Award winning, Oscar and Grammy nominated IMPACT Repertory Theatre will conclude the evening with a special performance.
“Panther Baby” Joseph’s second book, is an intimate account of his coming of age within the Black Panther movement. His memoir recounts his compelling and illuminating personal odyssey. His previous book is the illustrative biography “Tupac Shakur: Legacy” (Atria, 2006).
