These beautiful works of art that celebrate African-American life in Harlem must be preserved at all costs! We just saw a photo today of two workmen painting over one of them. That is heartbreaking. Why doesn’t the Studio Museum in Harlem arrange to take the gates down if the paintings are in jeopardy and set them up in a special Franco Gallery?
