While our nation is slowly recovering from the recession, there are still thousands of unemployed and underemployed people with variety of skills looking for jobs. Unfortunately in our community, the unemployment rate is almost two times the national average of 8.2% (18% as of 2011).
Open to the Public – June 14, 2012 – Armory on the Hudson
In an effort to help his constituents back to work, Congressman Charles B. Rangel is hosting another career fair on June 14th from 10am – 2pm at the Armory on the Hudson at 216 Fort Washington Avenue. There will be many employers ready to hire. By helping job seekers to meet with representatives from companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, Congressman Rangel aims to help alleviate the pain of those who have lost their jobs and rebuild their confidence in the American Dream.
