Harlem favorite Audra McDonald lights up the red carpet during the 2012 Tony Awards held at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.
The actress picked up her fifth Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.
Onstage Audra performed the classic “Summertime” before being joined by her fellow Tony-nominated co-stars Norm Lewis and David Alan Grier for a medley from the show.
The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess also picked up the award for Best Revival of a Musical!
