Rev. Sharpton Leads Silent Protest

On Father’s Day the Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network led a silent protest march down 5thAvenue.

Silent Protesters

Thousands turned out to support this effort to combat NYC Police’s Stop and Frisk policy.    Although there has been much resistance to the Stop and Frisk policy, Mayor Bloomberg has defended the policy as it has removed guns off the streets.  However, he did acknowledge that perhaps the policy should be “amended” opposed to being eliminating.
