Abducted Harlem baby TV movie With Harlem’s Sherri Shephard

Lifetime is turning the remarkable, headline-grabbing story of Carlina White into a TV movie.

“Abducted: The Carlina White Story,” slated to air later this year, will tell the story of the 19 day-old girl who was kidnapped from Harlem Hospital — by a woman posing as a hospital nurse — and raised in Bridgeport, Conn., only 45 miles from Manhattan.

As she grew older, Carlina suspected that something was amiss — and after contacting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children she was reunited with her biological parents, Joy White and Carl Tyson, in January 2011.

Carlina will be played by Keke Palmer (“True Jackson”), while “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd will play Joy White. Roger Cross (“24”) will play Carl Tyson.

The movie is scheduled to begin production this week in Vancouver.
