Harlemites Receive New Time Warner Guide

Time Warner Cable has introduced an upgraded Guide to its TV customers in the Harlem area. Today, customers automatically received the upgrade in the early morning hours, and can begin using the new Guide immediately.

Time Warner says the new Guide makes it even easier for customers to find their favorite channels, search Time Warner Cable On Demand movies and shows or use TV features like Start Over® and Look Back®.  The new Guide also features a hot new design and color scheme.

·         The “A” button on the Time Warner Cable remote control brings up “Find Channels,” allowing customers to find their favorite programming by category on hundreds of channels more easily.

·         The “B” button brings customers to a more intuitive “Search” screen, where they can look for movies or shows on both the TV schedule and among the thousands of Time Warner Cable On Demand choices available anytime.

·         Intuitive on-screen prompts for using TV features like Start Over and Look Back.

“Our new Guide is designed to help our customers enjoy all the programming they receive from Time Warner Cable better,” said John Quigley, Time Warner Cable’s Regional Vice President of Operations in New York City.  “This upgraded Guide makes it easy for customers to find the content they want, whether it’s on one of the hundreds of channels we offer, or a movie or program available anytime via On Demand.”

This upgrade is the latest step in an ongoing series of enhancements, including: the ability to search all of On Demand; filter the Guide for favorite channels, HD channels or On Demand channels; vivid graphics for searching popular movie choices; multiple fast-forward speeds for DVR playback and Advanced Search for Time Warner Cable Whole House DVR customers.

Time Warner Cable’s New York City footprint serves over 1.3 million customers in four New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn).
