Pathmark is hosting its 12th Annual Gospel Choir Competition, where top choirs from the Northeast will compete at the legendary Apollo Theater for prizes worth more than $10,000.
The 12th Annual Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition is an opportunity for music lovers to hear inspirational bands and sweet harmonies from local choirs. This historical event, which celebrates Harlem culture and tradition, shows A&P’s continued commitment to the local neighborhoods it serves.
Harlemites are invited to attend this free gospel singing contest being judged by the following celebrities:
- Elizabeth Black – Host of “Sunday Praise,” which airs on 107.5 WBLS and “Sunday Praise with Liz Black,” which airs on 1190 WLIB
- Gary Byrd – An award-winning, legendary host of “The Gary Byrd Experience” with airs on 107.5 WBLS
- Everton Rock– Store Manager at the Pathmark located on 125th street in Harlem
