Thrive! Women’s Health Initiative in Harlem (Sponsored)

Dear Colleagues and Community Partners,

Since our amazing turnout last week, which began on Wednesday, July 25th and meets from 12:30-2:30PM at 127 W. 127th St. There are a limited number of spots left for women who wish to join Thrive this cycle, but women can sign-up now to join us for the next cycle, starting at the end of September.

Thrive! is a 10-week workshop series that cycles throughout the year. The program aims to reduce health disparities women of color in Harlem face by helping them set and achieve health goals. We do a variety of health promotion activities geared towards women ages 18-40, around healthy eating, stress reduction, fitness, reproductive health, etc. Every 2-hour session includes discussion and activity around these topics, including a 30-minute fitness class of Zumba or yoga. Thrive! is completely FREE of charge, and we have no zip code restrictions or income requirements. We provide a range of incentives for continued participation, such as MetroCards, grocery store gift cards, water bottles, etc.

Please see the attached flyer and information sheet, and feel free to distribute widely. Women interested in joining may sign-up at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KN7Y23W or by calling or emailing at the information provided on the info sheet/flyer. Please keep in mind that if interested women are unable to join us at this time, we can always keep their contact information on file and reach out to them for future cycles. (Just FYI, the cycle we will begin following this one at the end of September will likely meet in the evening.) Thank you in advance for your help in spreading the word!

Best,
