Art In FLUX Harlem is expanding it’s pop-up gallery concept at the Morellino building which is owned and managed by GAIA Real Estate and located at 118th Street and 7th Avenue. FLUX and GAIA are working together to provide opportunity for artists by creatively utilizing a prime piece of Harlem real estate. In four retail spaces (each 800 square feet or more) at the Morellino you’ll soon see two Pop-Up Art Galleries, an Emerging Fashion Designer Pop-Up Shop and a Pop-Up Artisanal Food Shop. The Morellino takes up half a block on 7th Avenue and filling these spaces with artistic ventures benefits the community in a multitude of ways. The Pop-Up galleries and shops offer a way for emerging artists and creative professionals to test the market; to be seen by a large audience by presenting in a ground floor retail space; and to take advantage of the FLUX marketing and quickly-expanding audience. Additionally the community is welcomed into the space to enjoy and interact with the art, fulfilling Art In FLUX Harlem’s mission to bring art into the center of the community and make it part of our daily lives.
