Here is the schedule for the wonderfully intimate Harlem Summerstage 2012 events, the events started last week Thursday, August 2nd and will continue until Thursday, September 2nd 2012.The free Harlem Summerstage 2012 events are in the heart of Harlem with events every Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm in front of the Harlem State Office Building on the northeast corner of 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., (aka 7th Avenue).
Lorraine Glover, a former employee of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), was asked to take over the production of the Harlem Jazz and Blues Show in 1999, to which she added the word “SummerStage” making it the Harlem SummerStage . The presentation and production of the Harlem SummerStage became a labor of love for her. She enjoys giving back to the community, having a place where young and old can come out to enjoy a first-class musical show and above all, be safe!
Upon NYCHA’s exit (2009), from the production of the Harlem SummerStage, Lorraine continued to present the shows, however, in order to raise monies for the production, she formed LVT Enterprises Inc. which enabled her to continue reaching out to the many major contributors who supported her in producing this wonderful Harlem SummerStage.
Come see how Harlem entertains the world:
