To challenge inner-city violence, a community initiative called Occupy the Corners will be launched in New York City tonight, Aug. 17. For four weeks, members of the National Action Network, led by the Rev. Al Sharpton, will stand on city corners Friday-Sunday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Participants are asked to wear white T-shirts and bring a flashlight.
