The folks at the Summer Institute Develops Tomorrow’s Young Leaders of Tomorrow had there awards ceremony at the Children’s Aid Society East Harlem Center, 130 East 101st Street, on Thursday, August 16, 2012.
The goal of the Summer Institute Develops Tomorrow’s Young Leaders Tomorrow is a daily, six-hour peer leadership training program for youth in Harlem. With workshops that focus on building healthy relationships, gaining financial literacy and professional development, while weekly excursions help broaden students’ perspectives.
This year’s forty young graduates of the 2012 Summer Institute, part of the Hope Leadership Academy at Children’s Aid Society, participated in an awards ceremony that closed out this years seven-week program. Attendees included the community, family members, as well as program and executive staff from The Children’s Aid Society.
