Join the Tai Chi and Qigong workshops being offered at Marcus Garvey Park by the Walk It Out! program at Harlem Hospital Center in collaboration with Dr. Robert Woodbine of Urban Qi and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. As initially envisioned by Harlem’s Dr. Robert Woodbine, it is their hope and desire to develop a culture in Harlem that continuously cultivates the practice of Tai Chi and Qigong not only as a means by which to improve, preserve, and protect the mobility and general health and well-being of our village elders, but also to reduce the levels of stress experienced by Black Americans in Harlem that undoubtedly contributes to the high rates of chronic illness in this community.
9:00AM to 10:00AM—TWO DATES
Saturday, September 29th and Saturday, October 13th
Marcus Garvey Park Acropolis (enter at 124th St. and 5th Ave.)
Special Thanks to Dr. Robert J. Woodbine of Urban Qi™ and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
