The prefab Peter Gluck and Partners building planned for 4857 Broadway finally filed a new building permit in late 2011, several years after its initial reveal. A tipster reports that the site now has “a bunch of work permits posted on its sidewalk fence,” and a look at DOB records reveals a few recent permits for sprinkler and standpipe work, excavation, and structural work. The adjacent vacant lot has some permits on file, our tipster also notes, for temporary use during 4857′s construction.
So maybe this building will actually happen. One can only hope.
