To raise awareness of the pervasive issue of hunger in NYC and the need for ongoing assistance, Bank of America employees will volunteer alongside Chef Rocco DiSpirito at Food Bank For New York City’s Community Kitchen & Food Pantry to serve dinner to 600 guests, including the preparation of a special Chef Rocco recipe side dish of macaroni and cheese.More than 2.9 million NYC residents struggle to put food on the table and 1.5 million rely on Food Bank For New York City programs and services.
Feeding America’s “Give a Meal” program gives individuals a chance to support a great cause during the holidays by helping provide food to the more than 50 million Americans who struggle with hunger. For every $1 donated to Feeding America or local food banks via www.bankofamerica.com/give or feedingamerica.org/BankofAmerica, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will contribute an additional $2, up to a total match of $1.5 million. This is in addition to a $1 million contribution to Feeding America. This support is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to address critical economic and social issues in the communities it serves.
