McDonald’s Testing Deep-Fried Chicken Wings in Harlem?

McDonalds in east harlem

If you’re already a McDonald’s addict, prepare to become a full-blown fiend. Certain locations in Atlanta are testing deep-fried chicken wings, better known as “Mighty Wings.” McDonald’s hopes to roll them out across the region by the start of August.

This isn’t the first appearance of Mighty Wings: McDonald’s began selling them in 1990, but stopped pushing them in the U.S. in 2003. Still, they’re sold in other countries that host the chain. According to the National Chicken Council, the original miracle of Mighty Wings is responsible for the popularity of chicken wings over the past two decades.

Even though we think some Harlemites might like the Mighty Wings don’t get your hopes up, however. McDonald’s has no plans to roll Mighty Wings out on a national level, as a spokesperson said they were implemented to “meet customer needs on local level.”
