HW Pick: Best Three Tech Gadgets From CES 2013 (video)

Wearable Technology

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is always an interesting place to see, hear and touch the latest tech gadgets that can be used in Harlem.

With more than 150,000 attendees, tons of media and social media coverage, it’s the technology event of the year.

CES 2013 is no exception and many companies introduced innovative hardware and software technologies that practically makes imagened lives a reality.

Here are three cool technologies we loved.

Wearable Technology
Google’s Project Glass is just the beginning. The search giant is finalizing features and capabilities of the high-tech glasses that allow users to take photos and record video, so far. But at CES this year, Vuzix (top image) was showcasing its own glasses and Kickstarter backed smart watch company Pebble also hosted a press event. With all these companies working on hand free technology you can become the King or Queen of multi-tasking in Harlem.

Flexible Phone Screens and E-Paper Tablets
All this talk of super-thin gadgets leads into talk of flexible screens and display. Additionally, CES 2013 saw the official debut of PaperTab, a flexible e-paper, touchscreen tablet from Intel, Plastic Logic and Queen’s University. The 21st century seems like a true end to paper and saving millions of trees in the process.

Self-Driving Cars
Automakers have been attending CES for several years and this year, Audi and Toyota showed off (occasionally) self-driving cars. This is building off of work Google has done in the space and paves the way for tools to help drivers more consistently. What a great tool for Harlem-based for physical;y or site disadvantaged drivers.
